AA Meetings
Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
Chair Yoga
On Tuesdays now, we will have a Chair Yoga class at the Brockagh Centre from 11 am to 12.15pm. Chair Yoga is suitable for those who may find regular yoga classes too strenuous – those who may be completely new to yoga, recovering from injury or illness or generally less active and mobile. It is also – of course suitable for all yoga students who simply would like to try this method of practice. The class takes students through centring and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement whilst seated or through use of the chair whilst standing. These postures will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as helping students to find balance and calm in everyday life. Summer Youth Leadership Programme
East Wicklow Youth Service is providing a Youth Leadership Programme for young people in Laragh during the months of July and August. The programme aims to enable young people to develop the skills and qualities necessary to be good leaders, as well as challenging them to use these skills for the betterment of society. The programme includes three modules, each approximately 15 hours in duration.
