Fiona Nà Ghliasáin
I work as a professional Artist and photographer.
My work is mainly nature based and has developed over the years through a love of nature and
animals and a youth spent in my home county, Wicklow.
I studied at Grennan Mill in Kilkenny and received first class honors in Fine Art and Craft Design. I also studied at Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork, after which I worked as a Darkroom
technician for the Cork Artists Collective. I teach both Fine Art and Photography and recently wrote and illustrated a children’s book on Nature, in English and Irish.
As a Merrion Square Artist I display my work at the outdoor gallery and have artwork in both public and private collections in several countries around the world.
I design photographic products which are on sale in shops.
I am a professional member of Visual Artists Ireland and The Made Local Campaign run by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
