Cancer Awareness Coffee Morning
There will be a coffee morning in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on October 26th from 10am to 12.30pm. All are welcome to come along support a cause that has touched most people in our community.
Taming The Monkey Mind Workshops
Taming The Monkey Mind is a six week programme that consists of one and a half hours each week. Participants can expect to learn mindfulness practices for life to bring more ease and calm into the day,ease a racing mind, reduce stress and increase calm and well-being, reconnect with what makes them truly happy. Halloween Disco for Spooky Kids
Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa Perents Assoc. presents Halloween Disco in Lynhams Hotel, Laragh on the 31st of Oct from 3-5pm, €5 per child and €10 per family. Fancy dress, raffle and spot prizes. Door proceeds go to Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
Recycle Clothes Week
The Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh will be collecting clothes in aid of the centre from Mon the 5th of Nov to Fri the 9th of Nov. You can drop in your clothes bag throughout the week up until 12pm on the Friday. Thank you for your support.
Happy Days – now on Tuesdays
Tuesdays mornings 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre, parents, babies and toddlers get together, have lots of fun weeks with art & crafts and make new friends. Pilates Classes
New Pilates classes starting in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh from Thursday the 11th October. Thursday mornings @ 10am. Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Contact Zara on 0879367474 for more details. Footfalls Wicklow Walking Festival
The Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh from Friday 26th to Mon 29th of October with many of the walks taking us through Wicklow Mountains National Park. All walks are led by experienced walking leaders who will enhance your day with information on local history flora and fauna. Traditional Basket Weaving Workshop
In this full-day basket making workshop participants will learn to make a traditional willow basket. This workshop is relaxed and enjoyable with a focus on traditional Irish basket-making techniques on Saturday 3rd of Nov and Sunday 11th of November. Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of November is a two day Reindeer-making Workshop. Saturday 1st of December is a full day basket-making. All events by local basket maker and artist, Aoife Patterson. We Love Art
Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills. Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Almha Roche is a professional artist and an experienced and qualified art teacher. Adult Art Classes
Wednesday morning drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters. Students choose the medium(s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance. Drama School
Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher.
