Wicklow Mountains National Park

Nature and St Kevin Walk, Sunday 29th Sept at 10am, adults are welcome to join National Park Guides for a gentle walk in the beautiful valley of Glendalough. St Kevin is known as the ‘St Francis’ of Ireland. He is known for his deep love of wildlife. We will visit some of the sites associated with St Kevin, sharing the stories about St Kevin’s connection with nature and discussing possible meanings behind the stories, weaving them with current conservation concerns. Meet outside the O.P.W. Glendalough Visitor Centre (Eircode A98HC80). Approx 4hrs incl. a break. Practicalities: Adults only. Wear footwear suitable for rough terrain and clothing suitable for wet weather.  Please leave your dog at home. This event is free of charge but please be aware that the OPW Visitor Centre car park has a €4 charge for car parking. Booking: Booking is essential!  Footfalls Walking Festival Glendalough

Footfalls Walking Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centre from Fri 25th to Mon 28th of Oct with many of the walks taking us through Wicklow Mountains National Park. All walks are led by experienced walking leaders who will enhance your day with information on local history flora and fauna.The weekend offers a selection of walking choices such as Lugnaquilla (925 m), a night walk, moderate to easy walks throughout the weekend. Please note: Walks may be changed on the day depending on weather conditions or the fitness level of the group at the leader’s discretion. The Hardy Annuals Walk

 We Love Art

Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills.  Classes are small and places must be reserved in advance, the first class is free for new students. Moved now to Mon morning, drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters.  Students choose the medium(s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance.  If you are thinking of getting back into your art, or trying something new to explore your creative side, now is a good time!  Classes are at 11-12.30pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. Irish Dancing Classes

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from  9am-10am.
