Christmas Carols by candlelight in the Monastic City
A great way to start Christmas, in one of the most evocative settings in Wicklow. We invite you to join us on Tuesday 17th December at 7.30pm for a unique event to celebrate Christmas. Beginning with a candlelit procession through the monastic gates we will proceed to the ruins of the candlelit Cathedral for an evening of traditional carol singing in the monastic style. Some of our most familiar carols would have been sung here by the monks of Glendalough themselves in the 8th and 9th centuries. Tea and Coffee will be provided afterwards in the Glendalough Hotel courtesy of Pat Casey. This a free event and open to everyone, including children, which must be accompanied by an adult. Assemble in the Glendalough Hotel car park at 7.15pm. Wrap up warm and bring your own lantern/torch and singing voice.
Laragh Christmas Lights
The big switch on for Laragh Christmas Lights will be on Sunday, 1st of December at 6.00p.m with Santa coming to the green in front of Lynhams Hotel. Thank you for all the community support given this year to continue this fun, festive annual event.
We Love Art
Art and crafts classes for children of primary school age take place on Monday afternoons. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft techniques and processes, giving kids an outlet for creative self-expression while learning new skills. Adult Art Classes
Moved now to Mon morning, drawing and painting classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters. Students choose the medium(s) with which they wish to work, and develop their interests and personal style with Almha’s advice and guidance. Elevation Dance School
Our Modern Dance classes focus on Jazz, Lyrical, Acro Dance, Ballet ISTD and Commercial styles as well as ISTD syllabus work giving a well-rounded understanding of the Modern Theatre style.Classes are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre every Mon, Wed and Sat for all age groups and levels. Snow White and the 8 Dwarves
Come along at 5pm on Saturday December 7th for a magical Christmas evening of panto in the Brockagh Centre. Stagebratz Starz Academy is excited to present Snow White and the 8 Dwarves (yes, you read that correctly)! With toe-tapping family-favourite songs, plenty of laughs and fabulous high-energy dance routines, it is the perfect family evening out during the festive period. Curvy Whirlies Fitness Class
Sunshine Fitness is proud to announce that our ‘Curvy Whirlies’ plus-sized ladies class is coming to the Brockagh Centre in Laragh this November 6th. This low-impact and fun exercise class will focus on strength building using a mixture of gentle movement, weights and stretching. No skinny-minnies allowed! Laragh Badminton Club

Pilates Classes in Laragh
Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all.
