On the day there will be a BBQ, ice-cream, live music, kids games & inflatables, and a monster raffle with some fantastic prizes! All our teams will be in action throughout the day also. Official opening by GAA president Jarlath Burns at 12pm. There will be something for everyone on the day!

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
Lynham’s Hotel – 26th June at 7:30pm
The Glenmacnass River is impacted by invasive and non-native vegetation which has badly degraded the banks and associated riparian habitat especially in the vicinity of Laragh bridge. Laragh/Glendalough Tidy Towns has received funding from LAWPRO to remove these non-native trees and shrubs from the islands and mill side riverbank in the vicinity of Laragh bridge.
Ecological consultant, Faith Wilson, who prepared a report and invasive species management plan for the site, will present her findings and outline the steps needed to restore the river habitat to good ecological health.
All are welcome and please bring a friend.

SPINC TRAIL NEWS
To all our trail users, please note essential trail upgrades which may impact on your visit to Glendalough in coming months.
Please bear with us during these upgrades which will be in 2 phases for 2025.
The 1st phase will be to improve the trail between the boardwalk and the Glenealo bridge and is due to start on 7th July, running for about 7-9 weeks. The length of time is weather dependent. To complete this phase we will need to close the section of the White Trail between Glenealo Bridge and the junction between the White and Red trails.
Please note that Phase 1 affects only the White trail. The Red and Blue routes will be unaffected. The White trail will only be open on the northern half of the loop, from the Miner’s Village up to the Glenealo Bridge. At this point walkers will have to turn back and return the way they have come. Walkers who want a looped trail are advised to walk the Red or Blue trails which shall both remain fully open during Phase 1.
The 2nd phase will begin once phase 1 is complete, possibly as early as end August. This phase may be in construction up to the end November.
The 2nd phase will affect the White and Red trails. The Blue trail will remain unaffected. In Phase 2, we shall be replacing a stretch of boardwalk with a stone path. The trail from the Blue & White trail junction to the Red & White trail junction will be closed during this period of construction. There will be a detour in place on forestry roads below this section.
Please follow all signage and check our social media for up to date information regarding closures and detours.
