Laragh GFC Clubhouse Opening with David Cullen Cup Day
One of the most important days in our calendar every year returns on Sunday the 29th of June! This year’s David Cullen Cup will be made even more special than usual as it will coincide with the official opening of our clubhouse development!
On the day there will be a BBQ, ice-cream, live music, kids games & inflatables, and a monster raffle with some fantastic prizes! All our teams will be in action throughout the day also. Official opening by GAA president Jarlath Burns at 12pm. There will be something for everyone on the day!
We would like to invite the entire community down to the field to help us commemorate the life of David Cullen and to celebrate the opening of the clubhouse!

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
Lynham’s Hotel – 26th June at 7:30pm
The Glenmacnass River is impacted by invasive and non-native vegetation which has badly degraded the banks and associated riparian habitat especially in the vicinity of Laragh bridge. Laragh/Glendalough Tidy Towns has received funding from LAWPRO to remove these non-native trees and shrubs from the islands and mill side riverbank in the vicinity of Laragh bridge.
Ecological consultant, Faith Wilson, who prepared a report and invasive species management plan for the site, will present her findings and outline the steps needed to restore the river habitat to good ecological health.
All are welcome and please bring a friend.
