Glendalough St. Kevin’s Bus Services

Timetable & Routes

About Us
Established in 1927, St. Kevins Bus Service, is privately owned, family run business, operating daily services from Dublin to Glendalough.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the most delightful 50 km journey in Ireland, embracing every kind of mountain, lake, moor and woodland scenery.

Passing through south country Dublin, the route runs between the Dublin mountains and the Sea Coast, passing through Bray. Soon after leaving Bray, the road begins to rise, first ascending between the Great and Little Sugarloaf mountains. Climbing the road steadily through the rugged rockey valley, cut on the flank of the mountain, affording views of the ever-changing scenery.

Then the heather-clad stretch of the Calary plain with, further glimpses of Roundwood Lakes. Pausing awhile at Roundwood, (reputed to the highest village in Ireland) the journal continues through the winding Annamoe valley, into Laragh where the full beauty of the vale Glendalough unfolds itself.

Your stay at Glendalough, affords you the opportunity to explore some, if not all the famous Seven Churches, where a Monastic settlement grew up around St.Kevin in the 6th century and to dwell awhile on the enchanting shores of the two lakes. Over three and a half hours in Glendalough.
