Afternoon Tea Dance

Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement association as part of the Bealtaine Festival is hosting an afternoon tea dance on Sunday 25 May from 3-6 p.m.  Music by the Wicklow Man.  Admission 5 euro – refreshments served.

 

Queens of Pimlico

The Garden Theatre Company present the Queens of Pilmico, written by Derek Masterson on Saturday 31 May at 8 p.m. This two act play set in the early 1950s tenements of Dublin will leave audiences with smiles on their faces and tears on their cheeks.  Admission 8 euro and 5 euro for oap.

 

Fireside Session

The Glendalough Arts Network invites you to a very special Fireside Session, Friday 30 May. This Fireside Session will be hosted in Lynham’s Hotel Lobby. Join us, free, from 8 to 10 p.m., for a special evening of music and mingling.  Our talented performers will include the Traditional Arts Collective’s Jonny Tennant, Glenealy-based soulmates Eileen McLane and Gaby Brady, and Woodlark’s Kate Gisbourne.  This will be the last Fireside Session until we resume in September, so we very much hope you will join us and bring a friend or two. As always, the Fireside is free and family friendly, although adults will be welcome to nip in through to the bar to avail of Lynham’s fine selection of refreshments. This Fireside promises to be a great night and a fantastic lead-in to our Summer Festival, which will take place this year on July 19. Wicklow Man

The Wicklow Man every Tuesday night at the Brockagh Centre from 9.30 p.m.

 

45 Card Game

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at 8.45 p.m.  Teas served.  All are welcome.

 

St Colman’s Hospital Whitsun Walk

On Whit Sunday June 1 St.  Colman’s Residential Care Centre Rathdrum will host their 44 Annual Whistsun Walk and Garden Fete.  The proceeds of which have provided many of the comforts and extra facilities at the hospital over the years and in addition have provided funding for an Annual Holiday for older people from surrounding communities.  This year the committee are offering a unique attraction for walkers.  Walkers are invited to park at St Colman’s they can then proceed onto the Rathdrum Loop Walk.  The route wil take them through the Famine Graveyard and through the Ballygannon Millenium Forest returning via the Rugby Grounds and Ivy Leaf.  The walk will start at 2 p.m.  Sponsor cards are now available from any committee member.  Top prize for sponsors is 200 euro.

 

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
