Czech Twinning Project
For the last 10 years Laragh, Glendalough & the surrounding area has been twinned with a village just outside Prague, called Otrocineves. This project has resulted in wonderful friendships between the communities. We visit each others homes on alternate years for 3-4 days. Our friends in Otrocineves take us to places not normally seen by the tourist & in the evening we are royally entertained by them. We are made to feel like friends who have come to stay. Likewise when they visit us here we try to return their generosity, we take them to places of interest & meet up in each others houses in the evening. Language is never a problem, many of them speak very good English. Like us, the people of Otrocineves want this twinning to continue but we need new people in order to keep this going into the future. This is a wonderful opportunity to see another country & to meet new people of all ages. To find out more give Denise a call @ 0404-45272. There is no obligation to take it any further but you could find yourself making new friends & travelling. Talk to your friends. We look forward to hearing from you!
