St. Kevin’s Parish Retreat Day

A Retreat Day will take place at St. Kevin’s Parish Church, on Saturday 24 October, 2015 from 11a.m. until 7p.m.  The retreat will be facilitated by Fr. Kieran O’Mahony O.S.A.  11 a.m. Morning Prayer, 11.45am “Listening to the Word today”, Understanding ministries in the church.  After lunch at 2.30 p.m. 2nd Talk: Family life and issues, with reference to the Synod of Bishops in Rome.    “Laudato Si” Outlining some of the themes and their Biblical alignment. 4 p.m Exposition/Adoration.  5 p.m. Break.  6.45p.m. Healing Service followed by Mass.  All are welcome to be part of our Day.  St. Kevin’s Parish Pastoral Council

 

 

Wicklow Walking Festival

Footfalls Wicklow Walking Festival will run from Friday October 23 until Monday the 26 October.  The Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centre with many of the walks taking us through Wicklow Mountains National Park. All walks are led by experienced walking leaders who will enhance your day with information on local history flora and fauna.  The weekend offers a selection of walking choices which you can mix, match, or just choose one:  Climb Leinster’s highest peak, Lugnaquilla (925m); a night walk on Friday the 23rd promising to be a unique and adventurous experience; a selection of day walks from challenging, moderate and easy on Saturday and Sunday; a moderate walk on Monday the 26 to celebrate the completion of a great weekend and summer walking season.  Please note: Walks may be changed on the day depending on weather conditions or the fitness level of the group at the leader’s discretion.  Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  Telephone: +353 404 45152; Mobile: 087 2698659.  E-mail: info@walkinghikingireland.com

 

Glendalough Trail

Join us for the sixth annual Glendalough Trail on Saturday, October 31. This event is open to everyone and all fitness levels, with a 15.5km run or 10km jog/walk options.  We need you to sign up to Team Fighting Blindness for this off-road challenge along stunning forest trails through the Wicklow Mountains. More than 350 people took part last year, raising over €17,000 to support research into finding treatments and cures for blindness.  There are a limited number of spaces available so runners/ walkers are encouraged to sign-up as soon as possible at www.GlendaloughTrail.com. Learn to improve Athletic Performance

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
