Glendalough Car Boot Sale                                                                                                                      Come along to the Brockagh Centre for a browse on March 6th for our monthly Car Boot. Many people find this a great way to clear out their home and make some money in the process while having a social day out. Bargains are always available from home baking, plants, clothes, movies, cd’s, books & antiques etc. Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find it at the Glendalough car boot sale. Vans must be booked in. Book indoor spaces early but if you would rather be outside just show up in the morning at 8am. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600.

Bealtaine Festival                                                                                                                             As part of the Bealtaine Festival we are celebrating creativity in older age together at the Brockagh Resource Centre and one of our events will be an afternoon tea dance on Sunday 22th May, 3-6pm with music from the Wicklow Man and hosted by Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement association. Refreshments will be provided.

Laragh Trail Run – Saturday 5th March
Over 6km or 12km routes.  Great atmosphere, access to beautiful trails in the Wicklow mountains and a friendly welcome back at Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa’s reception for all runners, joggers and walkers.  Registration €15 via laraghtrailrun.com, runireland.com and active.com.  Registration taken on the day too.  All proceeds go to Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa in Laragh.

Draft Wicklow County Development Plan 2016-2022

Wicklow County Council have left the Draft Wicklow County Development Plan in the Brockagh Centre for the community to view. You are welcome to call in Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm or on a weekend if the Centre is open. There are two volumes to look through but they cannot be removed from the centre because we have only one copy of each.

Tuesday morning at the Brockagh Centre

If you are over 55 and looking for somewhere to go on a Tuesday morning 11am -12.30 we offer weekly exercise classes, outings, lunch outings, computer training and personal development. We are constantly looking at new activities.  Phone Pauline on 0404-45600 for a chat or drop in any Tuesday.

Men’s Shed

We are hoping to start up a men’s shed. A Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. These sheds are open to all men regardless of age, background or ability. It is a place where you can share your skills and knowledge with others, learn new skills and develop your old skills. If you are interested in getting involved contact Pauline on 0404-45600.

Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa, Glendalough Enrolment 2016 and beyond

The enrolment process for Sept 2016 is underway. If your details are with us you will receive notification and enrolment application forms by post or through a child in the school.  If you do not receive any notification or have a child at home that you would like to enrol for September 2016, please contact the office immediately (0404 -45460).

We are also looking ahead and planning for future enrolments up to 2019. If you have not previously called us to include your child on the admission lists for 2017, 2018 or 2019, please contact the office on 0404-45460 to place your child on an admission list. Thank you.

Mobile Library

The mobile library visits Laragh every second Thursday from 12 noon to 12.50 pm. Please note that the mobile library on longer stops outside the Brockagh Centre and only stops now outside Lynhams

Wicklow Man

The Wicklow Man every Tuesday night at the Brockagh Centre at 9.30 p.m.   Come along and enjoy the fun.

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
