Glendalough Car Boot Sales         

Join fellow shoppers for car boot day on Sun, 2nd of Sept, open from 10am to 4pm. Come early to find your bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Traditional Basket Weaving Workshops

In the full-day basket making workshop participants will learn to make a traditional willow basket. This workshop is relaxed and enjoyable with a focus on traditional Irish basket-making techniques. Sunday Sept., 9th, 16th and Sat., 13th is a full day basket making workshop. Sat 20th and Sun 21st of Oct.,(two-day (improvers) Basket-making – Round shopper with handle(main project). Saturday 3rd of Nov and Sunday 11th of November are full day basket making workshops. Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of November is a two day Reindeer-making Workshop. Scrap Metal Day is Back

It’s time to have a clear out again from your home or Farmyard for free on Sat 22nd of Sept from 9 – 4pm.  Dragon Day Workshop with Val Young

Val Young back at the Brockagh Centre, Laragh on Sunday September 23rd  from 10am to 5pm. Val is honoured to be invited back to Ireland to this special place. The day involves three meditations, each feeling very different. Throughout the day you will also be making an essence that each of the participants will take home. This is gift from the Dragons. No previous experience is necessary – just the willingness to go with the energies of the day. The Dragons will show us what needs concentrating on ~ in ourselves, our lives and with Gaia and the Cosmic Circle that will also be present. Maintenance Person/Car Park Attendant

The Brockagh Resource Centre wishes to recruit a part-time maintenance person/car park attendant. Applicants must be eligible for the Community Services Programme (eligibility is confined to those in receipt of certain DEASP payments, Contact the manager, Pauline Fahy, on 0404- 45600 for further information or email brockaghresourcecentre@gmail.com.

Free Computer Course

A free 5-week digital skills computer course will be starting in the Autumn, two hours one day a week. Topics covered include online banking, apps, online government services, email, shopping online, photographs, podcasts, TV players, social media and much more. High Intensity Fitness Dane (H.I.F.D)                                               

Adam’s class starts back on Wednesday 12th of Sept at the new time of  8pm in the Brockagh Centre. Dance your socks off with Adam, a class in cardio exercise dancing, great for fun fitness and dropping those extra calories. You do not need to be a good dancer or very fit, dance at your own pace and enjoy the music. You can contact Adam on 083 3057949 for information.

Evening Yoga with Viva                                            

Viva’s yoga classes are back on Tues 4th of Sept -for beginners to intermediate at 7pm in the Brockagh Centre. Improve your fitness strength and flexibility in a relaxing way. Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour.

Citizen’s Information Clinic                                                                                                      

The Citizens Information Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.
