Summer Festival
We are delighted to host this year’s Summer Festival for older people on the 25th of June at the Brockagh Resource Centre. Everyone is welcome, if you are interested in attending save the date in your diary. Elevation School of Performing Arts Update
Teachers Katie Charles, Kerry Smith and Principal Kate O’Connor were thrilled by their students progress and audiences were also entertained by the Elevation Dance Team who performed a range of routines from their repertoire. The dance team is an intensively trained group of dancers from 8-20yrs who compete at National Level and hold many titles. On June 1st the team are hosting an incredible workshop with WestEnd star Adam Garcia and this August, the dance team will travel to Disneyland Paris to perform in their very own show on a Disney stage, a most prestigious opportunity.
Audition dates for new members of the team will be announced in September for anyone wishing to join this dedicated group, while weekly ESPA classes will return in September offering Ballet, Modern, Musical Theatre, Speech 7 Drama and Acro. Elevation School of Performing Summer Camps
There will be Summer Camps in Laragh, Brockagh Resource Centre from July 8th to 12th, also in Aughrim Sports Complex from July 15th to 19th from 10 to 2pm. The camp are for ages 4 + yrs with all levels and abilities. Dance and musical, modern and ballet, arts and crafts, street dance and acro, games, costume and prop making and much more. Annual Pioneer Vigil
Wicklow Deanery Pioneer vigil is in St Kevin’s Church Laragh on Friday 28th of June. Mass is at 7pm finishing with benediction at 8.15pm.
Pilates Classes in Laragh
Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement. This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all.
