We say Goodbye to Fr.Crotty

It is with great sadness this week that we learned about the passing of Fr Oliver Crotty, St Kevin’s Parish, Glendalough, Co. Wicklow. Fr. Crotty was well loved and respected by the community and beyond. He had great energy and time for all, with a wonderful sense of humour, kindness and love for nature.

Well Done Wicklow Ladies Football Team

All Ireland Junior Championship Final in Croke Park Sunday did not disappoint. A stunning performance from the team against Co.Antrim 1-9 with Wicklow final score at 2-17.

In particular we would like to say well done Sarah Miley, our local lady involved in Sunday’s successful outcome.

Active Retirement

Laragh/Glendalough Active Retirement Group were sad to hear of the sudden passing of Fr. Crotty, we would like to express our sincere condolences to Fr. Crotty’s family. He was a member of our group and regularly attended our weekly meetings and monthly lunches prior to Covid. He will be greatly missed by us all and the community.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday morning 28th September for Tea/Coffee, light exercise and a catch up from 10.45am – 12pm at the Brockagh Centre. We will hopefully be back to normal during the month of October and be able to resume our weekly meetings. We always welcome new members to join our group. If anyone would like to offer their services or share their skills with the group please contact the centre.
