Brockagh Digital Hub

The Brockagh Resource Centre was delighted to launch the new Brockagh Digital Hub last Thursday. Thank you to everyone who attended on the night. Everyone enjoyed delicious food from Tadgh Byrne who is a chef, presenter and writer from County Wicklow. We would also like to thank Senator Pat Casey for officially opening the Hub and everyone else who pulled together behind the scenes to give another rural shared workspace to users in Co.Wicklow.

This exciting new venture has been funded by the Dept of Rural and Community Development and is available now for use as a shared work space with high speed broadband connection, lockable workstations, meeting room, and a pod with great views of Glendalough.

Open 9am to 5pm with wheelchair access. To book email brockaghhub@gmail.com or if you would like to speak with a staff member phone us Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Laragh Glendalough Tidy Towns

Junior Tidy Towns

Thank you  to all who supported the junior tidy towns this week. There was a lot of activity across the church yard and community garden.

Four groups, in 30 minute slots, smartened up the church area – weeding in the Labyrinth, flower beds and some sweeping and general tidying up.  The kids were great and worked happily in the garden. They were given a little talk on seed saving ( they saw the native tree bed), biodiversity, the importance of bees and how we should have food, flowers all year for them as well as what we grow, what they grow and some food tasting… lots of interest all around. I was brilliant to see the enthusiasm and willingness to get working by the children.

All children with guardian supervision can help and join the  Junior TT team just email us at laraghglendaloughtt@gmail.com with your contact details and we let you know about upcoming events.
