Christmas Tea Dance

Come along to the annual Christmas Tea Dance on Sunday 20th November 3pm – 6pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre with music by The Wicklow Man and hosted by Laragh Active Retirement.

Laragh GAA

We would like to congratulate our men’s team who won the Junior A Football Championship Blessington 0-09 Laragh 1-10, absolutely a wonderful day. They were captained by John Nolan and managed by Paddy Molloy and his selectors John Begley and Fergal Olohan. 

Yoga Classes With Louise

About Chair Yoga 

Chair /Seated Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile. Classes from 11.30 to 12.30pm. 

About Vinyasa Yoga

The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life. Classes   from 10am to 11.30am.

Wicklow National Park

Unfortunately, weather conditions were not favourable at the beginning of Oct for our Star Gazing event and we had to postpone to a later date to try and get a clear night sky.  The date will be announced 1 day in advance. Email wickloweducationcentre@housing.gov.ie and we will notify you when a date has been confirmed. Irish Astronomical Society Dark Sky Ireland.

Laragh Badminton Club 

Badminton classes are in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh with  Monday evenings: Mondays 4th, 5th and 6th class at 7.30-8.30pm. Thursdays 1st, 2nd and 3rd year Secondary 6.30-7.30pm and 4th, 5th, 6th year secondary 7.30-8.30. Adults 8.30 onwards. Contact Phil Curley 0404 45175/087 2067607 Or Gosia Ward 087 063 8898. AA Meetings  (Ongoing)

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.

Holistic Self-Defence Class

A self-defence course facilitated by Dara Clear, who has been practicing martial arts for 30 years will be starting in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Oct 25th, Nov 1st, 8th and 15th from 6:30-8:30pm.

Practical and holistic approaches to self-protection will be taught across the 4-night course. No prior experience necessary. Book early as places are limited. To book contact  Dara at 089 226 8851(deposit required).

Brockagh Christmas Market

Our very popular and successful Christmas Market is back on Sunday 4th Dec 2022 from 10am to 3pm. As always, there will be a great selection of gifts, crafts, baking, jewellery, art, and beauty products etc.. Making your Christmas shopping experience a pleasure. Active Retirement

Active Retirement Group meets every Tuesday 10.45am – 12pm at the Brockagh Centre.  So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on a Tuesday morning. Our monthly lunches are back too every 2nd Tuesday of the month. We’d like to encourage anyone who loves arts & crafts or any other hobby, maybe you’ve learned new skills and would like the space to practice and share your skills with other members, come along and join us. We always welcome new members to join our group. We are already busy planning upcoming activities, Xmas shopping trip and even our Xmas party.
