Tidy Towns Laragh and Glendalough

Community Clean Up
A call out to residents! If you see rubbish outside your residence can you please bin it as this would be a great help to our team of volunteers and it would help in keeping our village spick and span. We hope you can also join us this year when you have free time for our community clean up dates. The first clean up is on Feb 4th and then March 1st from 10-11am opposite Lynham’s on the green. (We welcome children, who are accompanied by their guardians)
Investigations of our natural water health are ongoing with Junior TT and Trainers. The next rain the trainer workshop is on Sat 4th at 1.30-4pm in Bulger’s Cottage, Glendalough Upper Lake.
Some of our members including Junior Tidy Towns are happy to be attending the Awards evening on 13th of Feb in the County Buildings Wicklow for Tidy Towns, Estates and Sustainable Development Awards.
We welcome all our volunteers to meet the committee members for a chat on Feb 15th at 7pm in the Brockagh Resource Centre to connect with them on what’s happening for our Tidy Towns group 2023.
Coniferous Tree Identification Walk
Join a National Parks & Wildlife Service guide and discover how to identify some of the coniferous trees growing in the Upper Lake area of Glendalough. There will be an option at the end to see what is currently said to be Ireland’s tallest tree.
On Sunday 12th February 2023 at 11am for approx. 90 minutes for the main walk and 20 minutes to see Ireland’s tallest tree. Free event with €4 car park fee at Upper Lake. Booking essential. Active Retirement Laragh(Starting back Tues 14th Feb)
The active retirement group meets every Tuesday morning from 11am – 12pm in the Brockagh Centre. So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on Tuesdays. We always welcome new members to join our group. We would like to encourage anyone who loves arts & crafts to share your skills with other members, come along and join us. Rainbows Ireland Supporting Children with Bereavement and Parental Separation

Rainbows is a free, voluntary service for children and young people experiencing loss following bereavement and parental separation. The Rainbows service is an inclusive service, supporting children and young people experiencing grief and loss resulting from bereavement/parental separation/parental relationship breakdown /divorce. Attending the programme provides children with an opportunity to meet with other children of a similar age and loss experience, at a minimum of 3 months after the loss.

We are aware of rising energy and cost of living increases over the past few months. We have decided to revise and decrease our rates for the first half of 2023 to help out our clients and members of the community.
We have a mixture of Hot Desks, Dedicated (Weekly/Monthly) Desks, Pod and Meeting rooms available with High Speed Broadband Connection.
Our shared working space is located in the the heart of county Wicklow with panoramic views of the stunning Glendalough Valley. Free parking, free tea/coffee facilities and lift access.
To avail of the discounted rates you must pre-book your desk through firstname.lastname@example.org only. Daily Rate €15, half day rate €10, weekly rate €60, monthly rate €199. We also have a special student rate of €10 day rate or half day rate €5.
