Brockagh Market & Car Boot-Sept 10th

Our next event is on Sunday, Sept 10th. Indoor and outdoor stalls with a wide variety of items for sale and plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc.  Open to the public from 10am to 3pm. Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. 

The barrier will be locked from 6pm Saturday evening until 8am Sunday morning. You can contact us by phone 0404 45600 (Wed-Fri 9am to 2pm) or email carbootbrockagh@gmail.com. Story Night!

Annamoe Rambling House/Story Night next Friday Sept. 8th upstairs in the Annamoe Centre at 8pm. Usual stories, songs, music etc. tea and biscuits/cakes. All are welcome, any queries to 086-8749092.

Tae kwon-Do for Youths and Adults-Back Sept 12th

Teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. Call Master Kenneth Wheatley on 087-2547347 for further information. Classes are on Tuesdays evenings (Seniors & Teens) in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh.

Laragh GAA

We had a fantastic time at the 25th anniversary of the David Cullen Cup last Saturday! We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out in their droves! A huge thank you must go out to the juvenile committee who organised such a great day and to all the volunteers on the day for their hard work! To Gleann Uisean Catering for the great BBQ set up, it was a sell out!

Congratulations to all raffle prize winners and a massive thank you to all the local businesses who donated prizes! The Wicklow Heather Restaurant, Lynham’s Hotel Laragh, Glendalough Hotel, Smelly Nelly’s Scents, Avon Motors Main Hyundai Dealer. Thanks also to Sonia Labarbe for capturing the day through the lens! 

A special thanks must go out to all the children who put on a great display of skill in front of the community! Thanks to all the clubs who made the day so special! Clara LGFA Avondale Gaa Ballinacor Gfc An Tóchar GAA Club. Thanks to Hughie & Maura Cullen who presented the captain of the U15’s Clara Gaels team with the David Cullen Cup after a brilliant win over Avondale!

Active Retirement-Back Sept 19th

Our Active Retirement Group are returning Tuesday the 19th September after their summer break. They meet every Tuesday 10.45am – 12pm at the Brockagh Centre.  So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on a Tuesday morning. Our monthly lunches are back from the 10th October and then every 2nd Tuesday of the month afterwards. We’d like to encourage anyone who loves arts & crafts or any other hobby, maybe you’ve learned new skills and would like the space to practice and share your skills with other members, come along and join us. We always welcome new members to join our group. The committee will be busy planning activities, workshops and day trips on their return.
