Wicklow Uplands

As the lambing season approaches in the picturesque Wicklow  & Dublin uplands, the Wicklow Uplands Council is making a heartfelt plea to both recreational users of the uplands and local dog owners to prioritise the safety of pregnant sheep and new born lambs.

The council emphasises the importance of leaving dogs at home and ensuring that local dogs are not left to roam freely, as this can lead to distressing situations and even fatalities among the vulnerable sheep population.

By fostering a collective sense of responsibility among dog owners, the Wicklow Uplands Council hopes to create an environment where everyone can coexist harmoniously, appreciating the beauty of the uplands while safeguarding the well-being of its inhabitants.

Laragh GAA Looking for Coaches

We are looking forward to welcoming our juvenile teams back to the pitch in the coming months! Our committee is super busy in the background preparing and organising for the season ahead.

To ensure we have these teams we need coaches to encourage and train and teach these budding footballers! This is where you may come in.

We are recruiting coaches for all age groups for this coming season. Whether you’re still playing football (men’s or ladies), recently retired from playing or have never played before we would love to hear from you!

We have a fantastic coaching structure in place that will provide all the information and training you need to get started. Please get in touch here or contact any committee member to get started.
