ADVANCE NOTICE: MAJOR WORKS ON THE SPINC TRAILS

The iconic Spinc boardwalk has served us well for many years. However, it is old and worn and now needs replacing. We are planning to upgrade it to a new, durable mountain path.

This is a BIG project. The upgrade work is expected to take three months – September, October and November. During this time, the Spinc will be CLOSED.

We know that 140,000 people walk the Spinc each year. We appreciate that this closure will affect many walkers.

The following trails will be affected.

Spinc Short-cut (BLUE arrows). This trail will be CLOSED.

Spinc and Glenealo Valley (WHITE arrows). DETOUR, will add 1.2km to the walk.

Spinc and Wicklow Way (RED arrows). DETOUR, will add 1.2km to the walk.

Please bear with us during upgrade works.

For the safety of everyone, please obey the detour and trail closed signs.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but we believe that you will love the new Spinc trail when it is completed. Thank you for your patience.
