Annual Christmas Market-Book Now!

The Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh is getting ready for our annual Christmas Market. This popular event is on Sunday December 1st from 10am to 3pm. RUT WATCH-Wicklow National Park

Autumn is the mating season for deer, a period known as the Rut. During the rut, stags become more active as they fight for females. On our Rut Watch, National Park staff will have telescopes set up to enable visitors to get a better view and to find out more about our deer.

Dates: This year we are running two Rut Watches:

Rut Watch 1: Sunday 6th October

Rut Watch 2: Sunday 13th October

Time: Drop by our telescopes any time between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Dogs: All dogs MUST be kept on a lead throughout the National Park. Visitors wanting to see deer would be advised to leave their pet at home.

Brockagh Country Market(carboot)

Our next event is on Sunday, Oct 13th. Come shop indoor and outdoor with beautiful handmade crafts and plenty of bargains and from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, skincare products, candles, art, tools, household items etc.  You might be a keen bargain hunter or enjoy browsing for affordable gifts. Open to the public from 10am to 3pm. Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. Our all new tasty Hot Dog and Burger is the affordable treat for the family lunch!!

Junior Einsteins Science Club

Junior Einsteins Science Club is expanding the minds of curious children every Saturday with Professor James here at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. They will be learning Non newtonian fluids, cross linking polymerisation: stretchy slime, light the lightsaber with our plasma ball, conductors & insulators, optical illusions: how the eye tricks the brain, rocket launchers, junior astronaut training, GIANT smoke cannons, vortices & tornado in a bottle, forensic science: crime scene investigation Information & bookings at: https://junioreinsteinsscienceclub.com/…/glendalough…/

Mobile Library-Next Date Oct 10th

A mobile comes to Laragh every second Thursday from 12.15 to 12.50pm and parks at the back of Lynhams Hotel. Phone on 087 9135229 or email library@wicklowcoco.ie

For people who have difficulty accessing their nearest public library, the Mobile Library Service gives them the opportunity to avail of a public library facility. The mobile library carries approximately 2,500 items with free access to many online resources including downloadable audio books, newspapers and more.  If you are not a good reader, audio books are a fantastic way to catch up on interesting and entertaining books.

Laragh & Glendalough Tidy Towns

The Pure Mile Awards evening is at 7.30pm on Thursday 17th of Oct in Brooklodge Hotel,Macreddin Village, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow. LGTT members will be attending with our Junior TT members. The efforts people go to as volunteers to keep our countryside clean is amazing and very commendable as so much rubbish is dumped each year especially in our Uplands.

Brockagh Resource Centre

Our regular classes are back this month. Why not join one of the many fitness classes we have? Pilates, Floor Yoga, Chair Yoga, Zumba and the new Fitness(low impact) Class. That’s not all, we host Badminton, Taekwondo, Dance Academy and a Parent/Guardian Baby/Toddler group each week. Our walking group is on Mondays, leaving from outside the centre and our Active Retired group, now back for another season is on Tuesdays. AA have been with us here for many years. If it is shopping for a bargain and some socialising you would prefer, why not come along to our monthly Market/Carboot? There is something for everyone at the Brockagh Resource Centre. Recycling at the Brockagh

We facilitate a recycling bank at the back of the building in the car park for Clothes, Bottles and Cans.

We have dedicated (Weekly/Monthly) Desks and a Pod with High Speed Broadband Connection. Our shared working space is located in the the heart of county Wicklow with panoramic views of the stunning Glendalough Valley. Free parking, free tea/coffee facilities and lift access. To avail of the discounted rates you must pre-book your desk through brockaghhub@gmail.com only. Daily Rate €15, half day rate €10, weekly rate €60, monthly rate available.
