Scrap Metal

The Brockagh Resource Centre are still accepting scrap metal to raise funds for the Brockagh Centre. Scrap metal can be left at the back of our building for collection. Some of the items you can bring are Biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, steel window frames, steel coal bunkers, Radiators, Solid fuel cookers, Sheep wire, Bicycles, Old cars without the tyres, Wheel Barrows, Golf irons, etc. No Fridges, Freezers, Cookers, Timber, Plastics or Tyres. Laragh and Glendalough Sustainable Energy Action

The Laragh/Glendalough Sustainable Energy Action are currently conducting a survey on Energy Usage which you may be able to assist with. To participate in the survey at you can join our Facebook Page or go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WXQG7Y2.

The Laragh/Glendalough Sustainable Energy Action is a community/voluntary group of local people set up to increase awareness of the causes and impacts of climate change, and to explore ways that the community can respond.

The group was formed to identify the community’s energy needs, and put in place, sustainable measures that will help improve energy efficiency in their homes, reduce energy costs, and to make their homes more comfortable to live in.

We have just launched our new Glendalough Heritage website at https://glendalough.wicklowheritage.org.  As members of Our Wicklow Heritage, we invite you to explore our local history collections and discover unique articles, photographs, documents, oral histories and personal stories. We are working together to record and make accessible the county’s rich built, natural and cultural heritage. We invite you to participate by contributing your information, stories and photographs.
