Laragh GAA

Posted some  pitch rules before the season kicks off for players, parents and visitors. The grounds and sidelines are strictly non-smoking zones. We have a ‘No Dogs’ policy with the exception of assistant/guide dogs. This is in the interest of comfort and safety of all. Please do not bring your pets to the grounds. No unauthorised photography/video recording. Laragh GFC pitch and grounds are private property please do not enter when gates are closed/locked. Thanks everyone for your corporation and we look forward to welcoming everyone down over the coming weeks!

Tidy Towns Laragh and Glendalough

Ballard Trail

As part of National Tree Week, Laragh and Glendalough Tidy Towns invited Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa pupils and other children in the area to plant trees last Friday. The weather was beautiful and we were delighted to be out in nature on the new Ballard Trail. www.facebook.com/laraghglendaloughtidytown

Laragh Community Garden

This is the month that growth begins and a time for gardeners to get sowing in the vegetable gardens. March truly is when all the fun begins. In Laragh village there is an active community garden with polytunnels. The group meet sometimes on a Sunday to tidy up, catch up for a chat, tea and cake. Contact can be made via the Laragh Community Garden FB pages. Entrance to the garden is opposite Lynhams Hotel then take the pathway down through the natural small woodland at the back of the houses in the centre of Laragh Village.

Brockagh Market & Car Boot

The Brockagh Market & Car Boot is on the 2nd Sunday of each month(except Jan/Feb). Open to the public from 10am to 3pm.Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. Indoor and outdoor stalls with a variety of items for sale with plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc. Free parking and customer toilet facilities.

Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around the Glendalough area for approximately one hour. No need to book, just show up on the day.

Quest Glendalough

The Glendalough and Laragh area will be busy this weekend with the Quest event and day visitors to Glendalough. This epic adventure involves racers running and cycling through the Wicklow Mountains National Park and Glendalough Valley which may lead to slight delays in traffic flow.
