Heritage Week Free Event
Pattern Day Walk to Lady’s Well Carrick Mountain on Sun 14 th Aug 6pm. Meeting at: Moneystown School, A98VF83. The walk is approx 9kms in total.The well is marked on The Neville Maps of 1870 but the pattern day ended in 1798 until revived in 2013. The Walk includes a short talk in Pre-Christian and Christian traditions of the well, poetry and music. Refreshments afterwards in Moneystown Community Hall. Open to adults and accompanied children. Scrap Metal Week at the Brockagh Resource Centre
Monday 15th to 30th August 2022 you can drop your metal scrap up to the back of the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh(Fundraiser for the Brockagh Resource Centre). Some of the items you can bring are Biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, steel window frames, steel coal bunkers, car batteries, radiators, Solid fuel cookers, Sheep wire, bicycles, old cars without the tyres, steel wheel barrows, golf irons, etc. No Fridges, Freezers, Cookers, Timber, Plastics or Tyres. Brockagh Market & Car Boot August 14th
The Brockagh Market & Car Boot is once a month on the 2nd Sun(except Jan/Feb). Open to the public from 10am to 3pm. Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. Indoor and outdoor stalls with a variety of items for sale with plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc. Free parking and customer toilet facilities. Shared Workspace in the Brockagh Hub
The Brockagh Resource Centre has a new remote working hub catered for individual working professionals, students and corporate companies.
We have a mixture of Hot Desks, Dedicated (Weekly/Monthly) Desks, Pod and Meeting rooms available with High Speed Broadband Connection. Under the National Connected Hubs Voucher Scheme you will receive 3 free days of hub use per person. Vouchers will be valid until the end of August. Register now as a Member on our connectedhubs.ie site to avail of the free vouchers and get an alert when your vouchers are available. You will be able to access your credits from Monday the 27th of June. All bookings to be made through connectedhubs.ie. Brockagh Hub is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The Spirit of the River: a Quest for the Kingfisher
Listen to the story of Declan’s quest to see and study kingfishers and his experiences with other wildlife along the river. About Chair Yoga
Chair /Seated Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile. Classes from 11.30 to 12.30pm.
About Vinyasa Yoga
The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life. Classes from 10am to 11.30am.
Laragh & Glendalough Tidy Towns
We hope you enjoy our new seating funded by Laragh Glendalough Tidy Towns. Big thank you to Martin Stacey and Christopher Merrigan for their help with this TT project. Seating locations are Trooperstown Wood entrance, Knockfin and on Glendalough road. Take a minute and have a rest when you’re out for a walk.
Our next tidy up date is Thursday August 4th at 7pm. As usual, meet opposite Lynhams and we will have the area tidy in no time at all.
