Come Along to Our Coffee Morning 

AVON MOTORS are holding a coffee morning on Friday 23rd of Sept from 10am to 12.30pm in Aid of Wicklow Hospice and Rathdrum cancer support. Come along have a chat and a cuppa -with treats. All are welcome.

Wicklow National Park Event

Wicklow is home to a large population of wild deer. National Park staff shall have telescopes set up on the Spinc walking trail between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Anyone walking on this route is welcome to stop by, view the deer through the telescopes and discuss the deer and their ecology with our staff. Sunday 16th October 2022 between 11am and 4pm. At the Spinc and Glenealo Valley walking trail (white arrows), Glendalough. Participants are advised to visit to the Information Office (Upper Lake, Glendalough) to get directions to the telescopes before setting out.  Practicalities: The Spinc trail is a hillwalk and takes approximately 3 hours. All are welcome, although the hike may be too long for young children. Please note, that participants will not be escorted on the hike. Hiking boots and rain gear are recommended. Bring binoculars if you have them. All dogs must be kept on leads. This event is free of charge, but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow Co. Co.) has a €4 charge.

New Zumba Class

Coming to the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh on the 14th of Sept, 7pm to 7.45pm. Walk in class, no need to book.

About Chair Yoga 

Chair /Seated Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile. Classes from 11.30 to 12.30pm. 

About Vinyasa Yoga

The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life. Classes   from 10am to 11.30am.

AA Meetings  (Ongoing)

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night.

Laragh Badminton Club (starting back Sept 12th)

Badminton classes are in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh with  Monday evenings: Mondays 4th, 5th and 6th class at 7.30-8.30pm. Thursdays 1st, 2nd and 3rd year Secondary 6.30-7.30pm and 4th, 5th, 6th year secondary 7.30-8.30. Adults 8.30 onwards. Contact Phil Curley 0404 45175/087 2067607 Or Gosia Ward 087 063 8898. Small club fee for the year applies for participation. All are welcome. This term registration will be on the night your group is due to attend. 

Active Retirement

The group are returning from their summer break on Tuesday 20th September 10.45am – 12.15pm in the Brockagh Centre. We’re looking forward to welcoming all of our members back from their summer break.

We’d like to encourage anyone who loves arts & crafts or any other hobby, maybe you’ve learned new skills and would like the space to practice and share your skills with other members, come along and join us. So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on Tuesdays. We always welcome new members to join our group. We are already busy planning upcoming activities, trips and even our Xmas party. This year we’re planning our Xmas party which will be held in the fabulous Cabra Castle on Wednesday 7th December from 1 – 7pm. Price €85pp which includes coach transfers, mulled wine reception, 4 course meal and live music. There will also be a big raffle on the day.
